Error 404: Willing Snake Not Found.

Just a quick post to apologise for the sudden stop in pictures.  Rambo is currently in blue, and for some reason he is being super reclusive and grumpy this time around.  

Now, we all love Rambo because he is a massive grump, but I don't, won't, and never will do anything that causes him unnecessary stress, and for the last week or so that has included taking photos.  He is just starting to come out of his mood today, so hopefully we'll be able to get back on track shortly!

In the meantime, we (that's me and Rambo) appreciate your patience!!

Refusing to sit still for a picture is one thing.  Making faces as well is just putting salt in the wound, really.

I am always fascinated by my snakes.  I love watching them move around, and seeing how they bend and twist over themselves and tie themselves in knots. 

Sadly, they do not always appreciate me watching them. 

Home Invasion.

Somebody was not in the mood to come out of his cereal box today, so somebody else had to pick up the whole lot.

Oh, the things we do to maintain a clean vivarium...

(I don't know how many of you reading this actually own snakes, but snake crap smells like death.  There is never a time when I put off cleaning out my snakes, even for a few minutes.  As soon as I smell that stench it's like OH GOD BATTLE STATIONS THIS IS NOT A DRILL.)

My snakes are my kids.  Deal with it.

Rambo did not approve of me trying to move his climbing frame so that it could be dusted this morning. 

(I'm just glad that he's a corn snake and not the 18ft Reticulated Python that he thinks he is....)

To My Fellow Students.

I am a student, and I live in a University town, so I am very used to the presence of other students.  That does not mean that I approve of being kept up all night by the sounds of drunken revelry as they wander up and down the streets, trying to locate the next open bar at 3am.

I am especially bitter about this since my degree requires 3 lectures a day and long periods on placement working 12 hour shifts, instead of the 1 lecture a week that I often hear them slurring about as they complain about having 'no time for fun.'

YOU ASSHOLES.

Another Work Week Looms...

Heading to work is always a struggle, but never more so than on a Monday morning.  Ugh.

Dentistry.

That feeling when you have a numb face and the dentist ties to talk to you anyway.

(For those worrying, Rambo's mouth was drooping due to a bit of substrate, which he dislodged himself while I was fetching the kit I needed to remove it.  Because he's bad-ass like that.)

An Announcement for the New Month!

So, I would just like to start by apologising for the gap in posting, especially since it came without any explanation.  We may not get much in the way of comments here, but everybody has been remarkably supportive, and for that I am grateful.  Especially since this is a blog about a snake flipping people off, which isn't the kind of thing that I initially imagined would gain much of a following...

Anyway, my circumstances have changed a little of late, and I find myself with less time on my hands.  This is only going to get worse as Christmas approaches, as I will be returning to my studies to finish my degree course.  Because of this, I will only be updating twice a week from here on in- provided that Rambo obliges with enough pictures, of course!

Updates will be scheduled for Mondays and Fridays.
